Quilting feathers beginners class part 2– five more exercises to learn a perfect feather

International Quilt Festival best in show was awarded to Still Life by Chen Jin. A few things about this quilt: 1/ It’s very small, maybe 15” wide maximum. I wouldnt be surprised if it was the smallest quilt to ever win best in show 2/ It’s made of SILK! Tiny pieces of notoriously difficult to work with silk 3/ Yes, the frame is fabric. I believe it lays flat and the depth is from the incredible painting and thread work. Somebody please correct me if i’m wrong because I cannot tell from my photo
