This lovely shelf was an old school IKEA piece and needed a makeover. It had been through a lot, but refinishing was a better option than buying a new one. The backer board was originally in two pieces taped. The tape had failed so there wasn’t a lot of structural integrity left in it. I removed the tape and adhesive and glued down a new piece in the center, attaching with glue and screws. Strong as ever now!
