2012年7月4日 · What about a solar powered generator? Has anyone had any experience with one of those? I didn't even know that such a thing existed, but my son did, of all things. I was looking at that because I am very leery of the exhaust fumes of a gas/diesel powered one I didn't know that you could use propane/natural gas to fuel a generator either.

2024年11月24日 · Using newer high-voltage residential panels, you can wire them in series, and run the raw high-voltage solar back to your system. I myself positioned arrays ~130' away from the system, running four large panels in series to get 120VDC.

However, since I can buy a small generator for only $99 it is probably way more cost effective (and better for the environment too, all things considering). I do have a problem with noise, but I can build a generator house for that. I will build a thermosyphon system in time though.

The Midnite Classic 250 will accept up to 250v input. String the solar panels in series, and feed it to the charge controller.
